Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various treatment procedures while ensuring patient comfort
• Set up and clean operatory after treatments
• Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Manage infection control by sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Provide patients with follow-up instructions post-treatment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant Certificate as per state regulations
• X-ray certification as per state regulations

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

This is a clinical environment with potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens. It requires prolonged standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours daily. You must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and handle tools and equipment.
