Overview

Full-time, day-shift Mechanic role at McIlhenny Company, located on Avery Island, Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain plant equipment and drive improvements to meet production needs.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure that equipment is maintained and functions properly.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels.
• Keep machinery and the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of industrial electrical/mechanical experience.
• Ability to operate customary hand or power tools used for mechanical repairs.
• Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and physical.

• Forklift and boom lift certification.
• PLC troubleshooting and programming experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing production.
