YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
You will be responsible for the maintenance of mine equipment in the Near Surface Portal. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Repairs to diesel equipment, including, but not limited to: Atlas Copco M2 and S2 Jumbos, Epiroc Scoops, Trucks, Scissor Lifts, Mine Cat equipment.
- Responsible for the maintenance of mine equipment and facilities to ensure their maximum contribution to the safety, quality, and productivity of the operation.
- Assembles, adjusts, sets-up, lubricates, and maintains/repairs all types of mining equipment.
- Reads and interprets blueprints while carefully following manufacturer’s instructions.
- Carries out work orders related to preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans.
- Equipment removal, installation, alignment, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Ensures that work areas, equipment, and practices comply with regulatory codes, statutes, and company requirements.
- Liaises effectively with colleagues and managers regarding various work situations and activities within the department.
- All other duties as may be assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Mechanic License required.
- Experience troubleshooting engines, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Experience reading & understanding hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Teamwork and self-starting work ethic.
- Previous experience with mining equipment preferred.
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 7 days of work, followed by 7 days off, at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
