Security Officer
Major Responsibilities: Secures property and facility Locks and unlocks facility doors Conducts routine property walks Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering Tour facility, examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure Interacts with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees Secures the safety of all individuals on the premises Works independently and judges and assesses situations for immediate response Monitor security systems and cameras Notifies appropriate members of management or emergency systems when necessary Completes incident reports and logs as required Responds immediately to emergency situations answer alarms and investigate disturbances Keep a record of all keys and equipment that are signed out Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Qualifications: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising judgment and initiative Strong customer service skills Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required Ability to interact with all levels of staff, including management Must have a valid driver's license Ability to work irregular hours including night shifts, weekends, and holidays Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic Good decision making and problem-solving skills Will be subject to acceptable background check Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have some knowledge of computers including Microsoft suite Additional computer training will be provided for advanced software platforms Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED One year of security experience in a similar environment is preferred Physical Demands: This position will require walking, stooping, and climbing stairs; work in both indoor and outdoor settings; and may be subjected to adverse conditions, including encounters with hostile individuals Kayla Rehfeldt Human Resources Manager Denny Sanford PREMIER Center 1201 N.
