As a Subject Matter Expert (STE) Level 3, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor delivering high-impact recommendations and specialized security solutions to secure complex IT systems and infrastructures. You'll play a pivotal role in implementing enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives, aligning risk-driven security practices with broader mission and compliance requirements. Key responsibilities include: Ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained across information systems (IS) Providing cybersecurity engineering guidance and best practices for enterprise systems and programs Analyzing, evaluating, and recommending improvements to IT security architectures and controls Supporting fact-finding and analytical assessments related to insider threat identification Developing hypotheses, deriving conclusions, and producing clear and actionable reports Delivering tailored technical guidance on a range of cybersecurity and IT domains Leading or contributing to large, complex cybersecurity projects and enterprise initiatives Delivering project outcomes that meet or exceed expectations Participating in development and optimization of System Security Plans (SSPs) Aligning cybersecurity strategy with organizational security initiatives and compliance frameworks Required skills and qualifications include: Deep understanding of cybersecurity engineering, risk analysis, and compliance in secure environments Demonstrated ability to assess operational security posture and recommend improvements Experience working across large programs and interacting with cross-functional technical teams Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills Experience developing security documentation, including SSPs and technical guidance Education and experience required: Twelve (12) years of experience in system security or a related technical customer-facing role Two (2) years of technical project leadership experience Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Forensics, or a related technical field In lieu of a Master's degree, a Bachelor's degree in a similar field plus two (2) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted Clearance requirement: Must possess an active TS/SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role This position is contingent on contract award.
