Nurse Manager Opportunity
Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta has been providing psychiatric services to the CSRA for more than 15 years. Located in Augusta, GA, our 84-bed facility provides a therapeutic setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness. The Nurse Manager opportunity is a key member of the Lighthouse Nursing Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric therapeutic strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective treatment and medication management is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing, and accreditation requirements. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Nurses to enhance the quality of the patient care. Job Duties: Provides oversight for sufficient staffing and schedules personnel according to census and acuity. Ensures adherence to established policy and procedure within the accepted scope of nursing practice. Responds to Codes and therapeutically intervenes with the patient in crisis as evidenced by completion of seclusion/restraint forms indicating the necessity of any seclusion or restraint, observation of the patient and documentation of patient's condition, criteria for discontinuation of seclusion/restraint and physician notification. Collects Performance Improvement data monthly; analyzes the data and makes recommendations for improvements where needed. Manages employee health and serves as infection control nurse. Serves as Interim DON when necessary. Master's degree preferred. Georgia licensure required. 3 to 5 years' experience in mental health required.
