Job Description
Copia seeks an Associate, Capital Markets with transaction experience in energy, infrastructure, or real estate. Ideal candidates have backgrounds in development, operating companies, private equity, management consulting, or banking. The role involves developing financial models to support and structure transactions to grow our renewable asset portfolio. The Associate will report to the Managing Director, Capital Markets, and collaborate with various teams within Copia.
Key Responsibilities
Support the execution and structuring of financing transactions, including debt, tax equity, and equity sales.
Develop and maintain financial models for renewable energy projects, including underwriting and sensitivities.
Manage financial due diligence from start to finish, working with internal and external teams.
Review project documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate deliverables and reporting for financial closings.
Communicate professionally with stakeholders, including executives, lenders, and investors.
Assist with amendments, consents, and other financing requests.
Collaborate with teams on project acquisitions and offtake pricing strategies.

Minimum Qualifications
2-4+ years of experience in project finance.
At least 1 year in renewable energy.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
Strong knowledge of renewable energy markets and project finance principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
Willingness to work in Washington, D.C. or Salt Lake City at least 3 days a week.
Ability to travel up to 15%.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
