Location: San Francisco, Several Opportunities Job Description: Bell Properties, Inc. is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks at our properties within a designated service area. This role is crucial in ensuring our properties are extremely well-maintained and provide a safe and comfortable environment for our residents. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, appliance repairs, HVAC maintenance, and general carpentry work. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from property managers or residents and complete work orders in a timely manner. Conduct regular inspections of units and common areas to identify maintenance needs and address any issues proactively. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and time spent on each task. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards while performing maintenance duties. Communicate effectively with property managers, residents, and vendors to coordinate maintenance activities and provide updates on work progress. Assist with turnover maintenance tasks such as painting, cleaning, and minor repairs to prepare units for new residents. Troubleshoot equipment and systems failures and perform repairs as needed to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency. Use own vehicle to travel between properties within the designated service area and maintain a clean and organized work vehicle. Provide excellent customer service to residents by addressing maintenance concerns promptly and professionally. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in residential property maintenance. Proficiency in basic maintenance skills such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (own vehicle required). Willingness to use personal vehicle for work-related travel within the designated service area. Availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
