Position Overview
The Senior Contracting Specialist will be responsible for preparing, negotiating, accepting, and managing government contracts and subcontracts. This role ensures proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. The specialist will analyze estimates, review contractual documents, advise management, and recommend policy changes to improve organizational procedures. Additionally, the specialist will support Government Contracting Officers and contract specialists in various contracting actions, including proposals, technical evaluations, negotiations, administration, and execution. Essential Job Functions
Conduct preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of government contracts and subcontracts to ensure proper acquisition and fulfillment. Analyze estimates of material, equipment, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules for accuracy and completeness. Review contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policies, government specifications, and conformance to master agreements. Advise management on contractual rights and obligations and interpret terms and conditions. Recommend policy changes and establish procedures affecting the organization. Interpret and administer policies, processes, and procedures impacting work units. Perform final contract closeouts. Minimum Qualifications
TS Clearance with SCI eligibility MA/MS in a related field Active TS SCI clearance or eligibility 10 years of experience with government contracts, acquisition, fulfillment, policy, costs, and procedures Experience with FAR 8.4, 12, 13, 15, and 16.505 Knowledge of negotiation techniques and strategy development for government contracts Analytical and evaluative skills for acquisition strategy development Applicants may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
