The Opportunity
A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable customers to achieve their missions. Crafting the right network with the right equipment and software requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning.
Responsibilities
- Apply expertise in routing and switching, network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching (MPLS), gateway protocol, and virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) as part of a team of problem-solvers.
- Design and modify network architectures to meet changing client needs; analyze and design new or improved operational capabilities across the enterprise network topology.
- Deploy, upgrade, configure, and troubleshoot multivendor network equipment and solutions; work with classified networks as required.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with designing and implementing LANs and VLANs
- 3+ years of experience with designing, deploying, and providing advanced support of multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks
- 3+ years of experience with creating new network architectures or modifying existing architectures to meet changing client needs
- 2+ years of experience with applying network design methodologies and network architecture principles
- 2+ years of experience with deploying, upgrading, configuring, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions
- Experience with classified networks
- Knowledge of access controls, network security, and communication and routing protocols
- Ability to analyze, recommend, and design new or improved operational capabilities across the enterprise network topology
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT field and 4+ years of IT experience, or 8+ years of IT experience in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have
- Experience with network accreditation and security compliance processes
- Knowledge of virtualization and storage technologies (e.g., VMware, EMC, NetApp)
- Knowledge of integrating traditional on-prem networks with cloud-based solutions
- Ability to assist in all aspects of network management from design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrades
- Ability to translate requirements into standards-based, cost-efficient technical solutions
- Strong ability to lead and facilitate technical discussions with internal and external teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Clearance
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
Compensation
Salary range: $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). Posting will close within 90 days from the posting date. Eligibility for benefits varies by employment type and location.
Work Model
Our people-first culture prioritizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in person or remote. If listed as remote or hybrid, you’ll periodically work from Booz Allen or a client site facility. If onsite, you’ll work with colleagues and clients in person as needed for the role.
