Device Engineer

Overview

Participate in the development of world-class high-voltage power devices and analog/mixed signal process technologies in a fabless environment.

Base pay range

$100.00/yr - $100.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Design new test boards to characterize switching performance of GaN and other WBG power semiconductor devices
• Hands-on static and dynamic characterization of power semiconductor devices and circuits
• Analyze and present characterization data to understand the effect of process/design, and provide recommendations related to operation in high-performance power converter applications
• Support key customer requirements with characterization data
• Support wafer level device characterization and failure analysis, as needed

Requirements

• MSEE is required
• Good understanding of various SMPS topologies
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in designing switch mode power supply using WBG power devices
• Hands-on experience with GaN power device characterization, including Dynamic Rdson would be desirable
• Good understanding of power semiconductor device physics
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
