Pay Information $2,264 per week About The Position Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of experience required License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS PALS ENPC required if no PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience EPIC charting system experience preferred Critical skills in management of dysrhythmias Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Central line care/management Continuous IV sedation IV vasopressors CPAP/BiPAP Interpretation of arterial blood gases Experience with ventilated patients Isolation precautions Triage experience STEMI certification Description: 1st timers are welcome. The position will float between units as needed. On-call duty is not required. Weekends will be required based on department needs. Block schedules are required. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4. This is a short-term acute care facility with a total staff of 108 beds. All staff is required to wear scrubs, which are provided for specific units. Charting will be done using the EPIC system. There is no fee for parking. The patient age groups include neonates, children, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census will vary, and there are 22 emergency room rooms and 26 beds available. The facility sees a variety of patient diagnoses including trauma, stroke, chest pain, pediatrics, behavioral health, and infectious diseases. Trained staff will have access to interdisciplinary support services as needed. Critical procedures and unit protocols include critical drips, phlebotomy, and IVs. Candidates must be prepared to manage various emergencies within the specified patient population. This position requires a commitment to working approximately 3 of 5 major holidays. Candidates should have a vehicle for this assignment as travel may be necessary within nearby facilities.
