Pay Information $2,018 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Neuro PCU experience required. Experience with CVA, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, and Yale Swallowing screen. Previous Charge RN experience preferred. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Progressive Care. The nurse will primarily care for medical neurological patients. Caring for patients includes managing telemetry monitoring and neuro stepdown protocols. Staff will be scheduled for 6-week periods. The nurse must be flexible with scheduling, including the potential to float across facilities as needed. The role includes requirements to work during holidays and evenings. The candidates must be aware of the pass-fail EKG exam required for all RNs. Candidates should possess skills in central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, tracheostomy management, and telemetry monitoring. The patient population includes adults with diagnoses such as strokes, seizure disorders, and traumatic brain injuries. Interdisciplinary support is available, including services from respiratory, physical therapy, and pharmacy. The position demands adherence to policies regarding punctuality and attendance.
