Staffing includes one Charge Nurse, one rapid response RN, and five RNs for 10 ICU patients during night shifts. Patient ratios are typically 1:2, with a 1:1 ratio for critical patients. The unit utilizes various types of equipment including mechanical ventilators, balloon pumps, CRRTs, Impella, and EKOS. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed in the unit include bedside tracheostomy and PEG insertions, as well as central line insertions. Candidates should have a collaborative attitude and work well in a team environment. Preferred skills include experience with CRRT, Impella, and balloon pumps. Experience working in a fast-paced critical care environment is highly valued. Every other weekend coverage is required for this position.
