About The Position Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Description: Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers are accepted Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Patients are admitted to the Admit Unit via Direct Admission from associated clinics, physicians’ offices, prompt cares or other hospitals &or via an emergency room admission. Patient population consists of intermediate level (monitoring interventions no more frequent than 1 hour) and medical surgical patients. Such diagnoses included are dysrhythmias, CHF, acute onset stroke or stroke symptoms not requiring TPA or critical care, Acute Coronary Syndrome &/or Myocardial Ischemia, etc. Fast paced environment with focus on patient throughput while providing patient centered care. Great teamwork dynamic. All patients are on hardwire telemetry and self-monitored by the RN. Ratio / Census: 1:4 Ratio; 12 Beds Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis Scrub Color: Navy Blue RTO: MAX 7 days Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere Floating: Possibly in low census times Call Requirements: Not specified Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays.
