American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a mixed medical and cardiovascular critical care unit requiring flexibility to float and strong ICU skills.Job Details•Work in a 24-bed mixed medical and cardiovascular ICU within an acute care setting,•Patient population includes sepsis, COPD, COVID, pneumonia, CRRT, IABP, impella, post-cardiac arrest, and immediate recovery post-open heart surgeries,•Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU acuity, and 1:3-4 for PCU-level acuity,•Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience preferred and test-out option available if used within the last year,•Required to work 12-hour night shifts; self-scheduling is in place but initially fills schedule gaps,•Must be willing to float to other critical care units and ER holds within Region III as needed,•No call or standby is required for this role,•Common ICU procedures include CRRT (Prismaflex), IABP, Swan-Ganz management, vasoactive and sedation titration, as well as Arctic Sun for post-cardiac arrest care,Job Requirements•Active RN license in the state of assignment or compact (NLC) license; must be active at time of consideration,•Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required,•Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; CRRN and PCCN are preferred but not required,•Must be able to titrate all ICU drips, sedation, vasoactive medications, and paralytics,•Ability to set up, manage, and interpret monitor strips independently,•Ability to float between units and adapt to changing patient acuities,•Copy of driver's license required for consideration,•At least 2 professional references: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years,Additional Information•Team includes an in-house charge nurse and resource nurse on every shift, with CNAs at a 1:12 ratio and dedicated respiratory therapists in ICU 24/7,•Intensivists and pharmacists are available on site; house pharmacy support overnight,•Orientation includes an 8-hour onboarding, 8-hour Epic class (unless testing out), and one precepted shift,•Holiday coverage rotates with permanent staff; high weekend coverage needs, especially Sundays,•Any professional color scrubs may be worn,•Modules and training must be logged and approved for time tracking,•Candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year as full-time, part-time, or PRN employees,),•hash,:• ,
