We are seeking a System Engineer - MBSE, to support our client on-site in either Warrenton, VA, Fairfax, VA or Washington, DC -- an Active TS/SCI is required.
Responsibilities will include improving the current IT infrastructure, optimizing business operations, and assisting with the direction and approach for integrating information applications and programs. The System Engineer is also responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, communicating, and maintaining overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately perform the organization's business and technology activities.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical expertise in the modeling and analysis of military systems and their broader system-of-systems architectures.
- Conduct trade studies and comparative performance assessments of system and architecture alternatives to inform customer investment decisions/recommendations.
- Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) to define system functions and develop functional and performance requirements.
- Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) to develop architectural views using DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM) and Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
- Analyze MBSE models to derive mission threads and use cases to aid in system-level verification planning.
- Suggest ideas to reduce costs in IT and business leadership.
- Ensure efficiency, security, and support of the organization's goals.
- Create methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, and change control.
- System Engineering using Cameo
- Experience in DoDAF, SysML and UML modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience using Cameo
- Rational Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or other comparable tools preferred
- Experience with MATLAB, STK, AFSIM, Simulink, Model Center, or other comparable modeling and simulation tools preferred
- Proven experience in use of descriptive modeling for system engineering solutions (e.g., building models and diagrams with Cameo EA)
- Solid understanding of Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
- Experience in Cameo and SysML applications
- Hands-on experience with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) preferred
- Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in modeling and graphic representations
EXPERIENCE: 1-3+ Years' demonstrated System Engineering experience using Cameo & Model Based System Engineering
EDUCATION: Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics) or equivalent preferred but not required
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance REQUIRED
