Job OverviewnnPrimary Purpose: To support the manufacturing operations, including determining the most cost-effective method of manufacturing components with existing equipment/facilities as well as proposing new methods/equipment.nnA Day In The LifennJob Responsibilities:nnEnsure safe operation of all equipment and processes.nTrouble-shoot and resolve manufacturing process issues.nPrepare justification documentation for capital expenditures.nLead / Assist in tool design and manufacturing process development.nDevelop and implement cost saving projects. Participate in Lean events that drive productivity and cost improvement.nLead quality improvement activities including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.nWork closely with product engineering in product changes/new product introductions.nInvestigate and implement safety and ergonomic changes in the manufacturing setting.nProvide technical support/training to direct labor employees.nnWhat will help you thrive in this role?nnPosition Requirements:nnAbility to travel on business related trips as needed.nGood communication skills, both written and oral.nComputing literacy with MS Office applications. SAP experience is a plus.nCAD - Inventor preferred.nExperience in tool design, tool build and modeling.nnEducation and Skills Requirements:nnBachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.nThree to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment minimum.nPrevious CNC/Plasma experience is a strong plus.nnHubbell IncorporatednnHubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
