We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our Cataract and Refractive Surgery team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, pre and post operative management and prescribing corrective lenses. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with our surgical team.
*Duties*
* Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
* Provide appropriate treatment plans based on examination findings.
* Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed.
* Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye exams.
* Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
* Assist in the training of support staff regarding patient care protocols and optical sales.
*Requirements*
* Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
* Valid state license to practice optometry.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy related to the eye.
* Familiarity with medical coding practices is preferred.
* Proficient understanding of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during examinations.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and customer service.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
