Essential Functions Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute a data engineering strategy that aligns with organizational goals, emphasizing agility, scalability, and technical innovation. Partner with data leaders to ensure our data platforms and processes support current and future needs. Promote best practices in agile methodologies, driving continuous improvement and efficient delivery of data pipelines, services, and solutions. Champion modern DataOps and CI/CD practices to shorten development cycles and maintain high-quality standards.

Data Engineering Execution:

Oversee the design, build, and maintenance of secure, high-volume data pipelines across multiple systems. Ensure efficient data ingestion, processing, and storage to support real-time and batch analytics use cases. Drive the design, build, and launch of new data models and data pipelines in production, define and manage SLAs for all data sets and processes running in production.

Platform Engineering & Operations:

Manage and optimize data infrastructure on Azure, incorporating solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, Informatica, and SQL-based tools. Oversee the adoption of newer development practices, streaming pipelines, and related technologies to build robust data products and services. Monitor platform performance and availability, proactively addressing issues to minimize downtime.

People Management & Development:

Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of data and platform engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Develop career paths and growth opportunities within the data engineering domain. Provide clear direction, performance feedback, and professional development for engineering teams. Encourage a collaborative, agile environment that embraces continuous improvement and innovation.

Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership:

Stay current with emerging data engineering tools, trends, and best practices. Advocate for state-of-the-art engineering approaches and evangelize the value of data engineering across the organization.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position manages people. Qualifications: Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree. Experience:

10 years related professional experience; 5 years supervisory or progressive leadership experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong background in building and supporting scalable data pipelines, data APIs, and integrations. Deep understanding of data structures, modeling, and schema design. Expertise in Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, MS Fabric, SQL, Informatica IDMC, and Python for data transformation and automation. Experience leading iterative development cycles with measurable outcomes, and responding quickly to shifting priorities. Ability to guide teams through complex challenges while fostering innovation and growth. Proven data literacy and ability to communicate data concepts effectively across organizational levels. Strong relationship-building skills with cross-functional teams including Data Governance, Architecture, and Business Stakeholders. Experience in strategic technology planning, Agile, DevOps, or SAFe principles. Healthcare industry knowledge is preferred.

Salary Range:

$136,720 - $253,787 Additional Information:
