About the Data Center Technician position:
As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the physical deployment, installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and server software in Googles data centers. You will also work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that goals, missions, and projects are delivered. Responsibilities: Repair broken equipment, including servers, networking, and storage devices Diagnose and troubleshoot systems, server, and networking equipment Work independently following guidance and instruction from executive members or leads Lift and move 50 lbs of equipment, work on platforms, ladders, and under raised floors Move between different sites in the metro area to support business needs Operate systems and networking protocols Experience in a data center, network operation center, help desk, or similar environments Diagnose and troubleshoot computer and server hardware
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience Ability to collaborate and partner with people and teams to overcome challenges Ability to manage engaging and changing priorities
