Job Description Enlighten is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer specializing in AWS. This role involves designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure cloud infrastructures to support our next-generation products. The position offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment with opportunities for career growth. The work will be conducted at a customer facility with a team of engineers.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Engineer, architect, and deploy cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
Develop strategic and implementation plans for information systems.
Create infrastructure as code to generate cloud security infrastructure and enclaves.
Work effectively in high-pressure, flexible environments, managing both short and long-term requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Current Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
9+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering with a Bachelor’s degree; or 7 years with a Master’s degree; or 13 years with a High School diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Proficiency in Python and Linux Command Line.
Experience automating cloud configuration with tools like Terraform, AWS Config, Ansible, etc.
Ability to work autonomously, identifying areas for improvement.
Collaborate with platform architects on strategic architectural changes.
Strong understanding of cloud networking best practices.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, primarily at Fort Meade, MD or Columbia, MD, with flexibility for schedule changes.
Preferred Requirements
Relevant AWS Certifications such as Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security, etc.
Experience with DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) and DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (DoD CC SRG).
