Sugino Corp, a leader in precision cleaning, cutting, & deburring is looking for a Staff Accountant in our Itasca, IL location. The Staff Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting practices, preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial statements using accounting principles.

What You Will Do:

• Responsible for accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR) functions.
• Process billing
• Post customer payments, research payments when necessary
• Process customer payments by credit card
• Process vendor invoices
• Process inventory adjustment
• Prepare payments via ACH/Wire weekly
• Monitors and reviews bank statements and prepares bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accounting journal entries in compliance with USGAAP.
• Assist with month-end close activities.
• Maintain AR aging log and work as a team lead to resolve customer payment issues.
• Customer account set up in the ERP system
• Assist in the preparation of documents for external audit
• Prepare data and analysis to support financial projections and forecasts.
• Assist in special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.
• Support process improvements.
• Work on other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Experience Requirements: Three (3) years of accounting experience. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of

subject matter.

Education Requirements: 2-4 year degree or equivalent experience

Skill Requirements: Computer skills : SAP, Concur (plus), Microsoft Excel. Oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Analytical thinking skills. Problem-solving. Ability to work within a team.

Additional Information:

• Fluent in Japanese a plus.
• All initial phone screenings and interviews are done via web conference. Final interviews done on-site.
