Wieland is hiring a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Finance department in performing accounting functions and reporting financial data for the Wieland Global Services-Oracle locations.

This role is located in Louisville, KY and will be hybrid.

Responsibilities

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries in Oracle ERP system with descriptive backup documentation attached.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts for various divisions in One Stream consolidation software, taking ownership for resolving any identified variances.

Assist with 4-day month end closing, ensuring all data & reporting requirements are uploaded timely & accurately.

Reconcile intercompany account with parent company (Wieland North America) confirming balance and collaborating with corporate accountant to resolve issues.

Maintain capital lease accounting schedules, periodically conducting inventory of leases & posting required associated journal entries.

Assist with requests for internal reporting/analysis, external audit, & internal tax department.

Promote & maintain compliance with internal controls & accounting standards

Provide backup for accounting positions needing coverage on a temporary basis.

Staff Accountant Qualifications:

Accounting background with 3+ years of experience preferred/ strong understanding of accounting principles.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

Moderate proficiency in Excel with the ability to create pivots, macros, & use data comparison formulas.

Interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work independently & as part of a team.

Strong analytical skills, detail oriented & organizational skills ideal.

Ability to prioritize & work efficiently to meet deadlines especially during 4-day month end closing.

Experience with ERP systems, familiarity with Oracle ERP preferred.
