Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to play a key role in financial reporting, cost analysis, and compliance. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accuracy within NetSuite, preparing complex journal entries and reconciliations, analyzing margins and profitability, and supporting strategic planning efforts. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cost accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive process improvements across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance with GAAP and related financial regulations
  • Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Maintain and improve cost accounting systems, policies, and procedures
  • Evaluate cost variances, margins, and profitability to guide decision-making
  • Partner with finance and operations teams on costing strategies
  • Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Support budgets, forecasts, and long-term planning processes
  • Leverage NetSuite functionality to optimize workflows and ensure system integrity
  • Assist with internal and external audits, preparing schedules and documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CMA strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with expertise in cost accounting
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and technical accounting guidance
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system required
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams
  • Track record of driving efficiency and process improvements

Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
