Staff Accountant
Location: Minneapolis, MN (On-site)
Salary: $65,000 – $85,000

This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to join a collaborative team and build a strong foundation in core accounting operations within a dynamic, project-based industry.

About the Opportunity

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll work closely with the Controller and accounting team to support daily accounting functions, monthly close, and financial reporting. This role is well-suited for someone with a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily general ledger tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Assist with maintaining the fixed asset register and related depreciation schedules

  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts

  • Support month-end close and preparation of financial reports

  • Help ensure accuracy of balance sheet and income statement accounts

  • Maintain organized accounting records for audit and compliance purposes

  • Participate in audit preparation and support as needed

  • Collaborate with project teams to support job cost accounting

  • Take part in special projects and process improvements

What You Bring
  • 1–3 years of general accounting experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments

  • Working knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes

  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus (Vista/Viewpoint or COINS preferred)

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA track a plus
