Pay Range: $34-54hr. depending on experience
Overview:
This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and control systems in a water utility environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with single and 3-phase systems up to 600V, SCADA systems, and industrial instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, operate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment (single & 3-phase up to 600V).
Maintain and support SCADA systems, industrial controls, and instrumentation.
Perform preventive maintenance on electro-mechanical and ancillary equipment (e.g., valve actuators, compressed air systems).
Review electrical designs, prepare reports, and support capital improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with NEC and company standards.
Participate in safety meetings, training, and emergency response (24/7 availability).
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid California Driver’s License required.
3+ years of experience with industrial electrical systems up to 600V.
Knowledge of SCADA, PLCs (Modicon, Schneider), and instrumentation in a utility setting.
Ability to perform electrical calculations (load, wire sizing, breaker sizing).
Completion of a four-year Electrical Apprentice Program or equivalent preferred.
Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, spreadsheets).
Knowledge of Wonderware software a plus.
