The HR Manager effectively builds relationships, and serves as the liaison between leadership, employees, shared services, and human resources departments to design, execute, communicate, and monitor human resources initiatives and programs across business lines.

Overview

The HR Manager role focuses on employee relations, performance management, learning and development, talent management, and regulatory compliance. This position partners with leadership to design and implement staffing, onboarding, and retention strategies while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance and counseling to Unifi leadership in employee relations, performance management, coaching, learning and development, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Builds strong partnerships between Human Resources and the business to foster a positive and fulfilling work environment.
  • Maintains confidentiality and data integrity in all work aspects.
  • Recommends employee relations practices to promote a positive employer-employee relationship and high morale.
  • Partners with leadership to design and execute staffing, onboarding, talent development, and employee retention strategies.
  • Maintains knowledge of Federal and State laws and company policies to reduce legal risks and ensure compliance.
  • Conducts investigations, documents findings, and makes recommendations for action.
  • Proactively communicates with internal and external customers.
  • Uses HR metrics and business data to inform decisions.
  • Responds to employee questions and resolves issues professionally and promptly.
  • Coordinates leaves of absence and administrative policies with managers.
  • Updates and maintains employee information in the HRIS for assigned locations.
  • Processes hourly personnel status changes (address, pay, position, status, terminations) for assigned stations.
  • Partners with Training Department to develop, schedule, and deliver leadership training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Four (4) to six (6) years of Human Resources experience preferred.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations (Wage and Hour, Title VII, OFCCP, EEO/AAP, FMLA, ADA, Worker’s compensation, I-9, E-Verify, and related policies).
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, HRIS).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand the business and industry to develop and sustain HR strategies.
  • Ability to align with the Company Culture and act as a change agent in HR initiatives.
