Hanyang ENG is seeking an In-House IT Support Technician to support daily technical operations, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure smooth IT systems performance for our employees.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk roles
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common software applications
  • Working knowledge of Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team
  • Plus: IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)

In-House IT Support Technician provides technical assistance and support to employees within an organization. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure. They act as the first point of contact for employee tech issues, providing both on-site and remote support.

  • Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, chat.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices.
  • Perform system upgrades, updates, and routine maintenance.
  • Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords in Active Directory and other systems.
  • Support network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi and VPN troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and support procedures.
  • Provide onboarding and offboarding IT support for new and departing employees.
  • Evaluate, research, and procure IT equipment in response to user and departmental requests, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compatibility.
  • Monitor and maintain IT inventory and fixed asset management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and data security best practices.
  • Delivers on-site technical support by diagnosing and repairing computer problems at staff locations (~40 miles)
  • Configures and deploys local servers to support site operations with 20+ connected computers.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Location: Office at our Cedar Park, TX
  • Work Hours: Full-time | Monday to Friday | 8-hour shifts
  • Work Setting: Professional office environment
