Position Summary:

The Receiving and Inventory Control Lead is responsible for overseeing the receiving, inspection, and storage of raw materials, components, and supplies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate inventory control to support production schedules, minimize downtime, and maintain optimal material availability for manufacturing processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead daily operations of the receiving area, ensuring all raw materials, components, and supplies are unloaded, inspected, and accurately recorded. Verify shipments against purchase orders and material specifications; document and report any discrepancies to procurement and quality control teams. Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines to meet manufacturing schedules. Maintain organized and labeled storage areas for raw materials, WIP (work in progress), and finished goods. Perform regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations to maintain system accuracy and prevent material shortages. Monitor usage of raw materials and update inventory systems to ensure accurate, real-time data for production planning. Supervise, train, and mentor receiving and inventory staff, fostering a culture of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and industry regulations, including OSHA and company-specific standards. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, and Procurement teams to resolve inventory or material flow issues quickly. Generate detailed reports on material availability, inventory accuracy, and performance metrics for management review. Follows safety requirements for the facility and position, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follows environmental and hazardous waste disposal procedure. Participates in process improvements and other operational activities. Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned. Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma 3+ years of experience in manufacturing receiving or inventory control, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity. Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and production scheduling. Technical Skills:

Forklift certification Experience with ERP or MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for inventory and materials management. Core Competencies:

Physical Requirements: Able to list 50 lbs., stand and walk for prolonged periods of time on the manufacturing floor.

Work Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to manufacturing equipment and machinery, forklifts, and pallets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is regularly exposed to hot and cold weather conditions. Personal protective equipment is required in all areas of the production plant.
