Job Summary:
The Manager of Procurement is a senior individual contributor and member of the Project Execution and Procurement. The Manager of Procurement reports to the Director of Procurement and will have a focus on leading the drafting and negotiation of major equipment supply contracts as well as contracts for EPC services. As a member of the Project Execution and Procurement team, the Manager of Procurement works closely cross functionally with counsel and subject matter experts to drive contract negotiations to close efficiently, while balancing commercial, legal, and execution priorities while achieving consistency with corporate commercial and risk management guidelines.
Essential Functions:
Manage RFPs to determine best-fit suppliers for major equipment and EPC services based on company objectives Analyze bids and qualify vendors based on quality, cost, and contractual term criteria. Provide recommendations to senior staff on supplier strategy Build and maintain relationships with key vendors Lead contract negotiations with major equipment suppliers and/or EPC service providers to support construction of Leeward's wind, solar, and/or battery projects Provide updates to senior staff on contractual risks associated with each respective contract or counterparty along with mitigation recommendations Coordinate drafting of contractual language across legal, commercial, and technical stakeholders Ensure quality and safety are key aspects of contractual terms and conditions Maintain understanding of the market including current pricing and key terms and conditions provisions Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field 5+ years of experience negotiating supply or service agreements Experience working in an energy industry, renewable energy highly preferred Detail oriented with a demonstrated high level of organization Demonstrate excellent intrapersonal and communication skills Demonstrated knowledge of supply contracts and inherent contractual risks Able to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced business environment Physical Demands:
Position will require sitting for long periods of time as well as occasionally lifting up to twenty-pound boxes. Occasional travel
