Airline Passenger Assistant/Baggage Handler
The Airline Passenger Assistant/Baggage Handler, also known as the Wheelchair Agent, fulfills airline passenger service obligations for passengers who require or request wheelchair assistance. Passenger services positions are very customer service-oriented and "tipping" is allowed and customary. Wheelchair Agents who provide extraordinary customer service are known to increase their earning potential between $25$100 per week. Also, as Baggage Handler is responsible for assisting passengers and airline ticketing agent with lifting, moving and properly transporting their luggage. Must be 18 years of age or older No high school diploma, GED or college degree required No experience required and on the job training provided Preferred Qualification
One (1) year of customer service experience preferred Responsibilities
Follow safety precautions at all times while transporting passengers Positive interpersonal interaction with passengers Comply with all client and/or site security requirements and processes Safely transport passengers in wheelchairs from their retrieval point to their desired destination within the client site or grounds Assist passengers with baggage retrieval and transport, if necessary Coordinate assignments with dispatchers and gate Agents, if necessary Complete thorough Incident Reports Carrying or otherwise transporting passenger luggage to and from the outside sidewalk or main entrance of the airport and the inside ticket counter Assist in proper handling of oversized luggage, kennels, and skis of up to or more than 50lbs which may require lots of bending and lifting Ensure passenger luggage is placed in the belt within the designated time frame Adhere to required security procedures and hazardous material handling requirements ABM is a military and veteran friendly employer, veterans and candidates with military experience encouraged to apply.
