Purpose, Scope & Dimension of Job
:
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate, under the direction of the Executive Director of Educational Partnerships, the development and delivery of academic programming for dual enrolled, early college, and college in the high school students. This position will serve as a consultant to all constituencies and will communicate directly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Mott develops and provides high-quality concurrent enrollment programs. The coordinator will also support the Executive Director of Educational Partnerships in developing and implementing outreach programming that engages K-12 students and their families with hands-on experiences that promote the MCC.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position may provide direction of student employees or temporary support staff.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor's degree or higher Three years of experience working in a community college or K-12 district in a role that involves institutional partnerships and interagency collaboration Ability to work with and maintain records management systems or databases. Demonstrated history of project coordination, on-time delivery of projects, and anticipation of issues. Exceptional judgment skills in interpersonal communications; ability to determine the appropriate approach and then employ effective strategies Demonstrated work history of providing high quality, strong customer-oriented services. Ability to coordinate work-effort with others and work effectively with others in a team setting. Ability to perform both professional and technical/administrative/clerical tasks. Ability to work successfully in an environment without detailed direction and in the absence of work process documentation; self-motivated. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong computer and information technology skills. Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with K-12 and Higher Ed Partnerships. Experience coordinating dual enrollment, early middle college, and/or college in the high school programs. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Unique Aspect of Job:
Requires the ability to work on several projects simultaneously. Requires the ability to work in an environment that may have interruptions. Requires the ability to work with a variety of constituencies: internal and external, minors and adults, and individuals from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. Physical Requirements:
Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a copy machine and computer printer. Must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately one-third of the time. The person in this position needs to move about the office, campus, and off-site locations. This position requires repetitive motion (e.g. typing) keyboarding, answering phones. This position requires the ability to converse with individuals on a regular basis and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret their needs via phone conversations, face-to-face conversations, or written documentation. Must be able to tolerate exposure to chemicals which are common to career and technical education programs. Must be able to move items weighing up to 30 pounds. Must be able to drive to partner locations during business hours, evenings, and weekends.

Full-time 40-hours per week position. Working hours may regularly include evenings and weekends as determined by programming demands.
