Brand Manager
to develop, execute, and manage brand initiatives for one or more key product brands within the CUSA brand portfolio. This brand management role will act as the primary brand champion and strategic point person for the assigned product brand(s) to ensure consistency, creativity and impact across all touchpoints. The Brand Manager will own and drive strategic marketing execution by leveraging consumer/market insights, developing integrated Go-To-Market (GTM) plans, writing effective creative briefs, managing marketing budgets, and tracking campaign performance. This role requires effective partnership and collaboration with sales and execution teams to ensure achievement of sales targets and effective customer/channel engagement. Work closely with the Senior Director of Brand Marketing to develop the brands core strategic foundation (e.g. target audience, unique positioning, value proposition), in alignment with the overall CUSA brand portfolio architecture. MARKET AND CONSUMER INSIGHTS:
Analyze market data, competitor activity, and consumer/budtender feedback to understand brand health and identify growth opportunities. Translate insights into actionable recommendations for brand strategy and marketing plans. GO TO MARKET PLANNING AND BRIEFING:
Create integrated GTM plans for the brand (e.g. define objectives and channel strategy, prioritize key messages) based on approved brand strategy and product / consumer / market insights. Translate strategy into execution by writing clear, inspiring creative briefs for execution teams. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION AND ENABLEMENT:
Act as primary marketing partner with sales leadership and regional teams on the brands GTM strategy, aligning on channel needs, supporting sales goals, and guiding sales tool development. Collaborate effectively with Product Strategy, Operations and Creative. BRAND STEWARDSHIP AND CREATIVE OVERSIGHT:
Provide clear, strategic brand direction and guidance during creative development. Ensure consistency and quality of brand expression across all touchpoints, giving brand approval on all marketing assets and messaging for the brand. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT AND BUDGETING:
Manage the allocated marketing budget for the brand, focusing on ROI. Track and analyze brand/campaign performance against objectives, recommending data-driven optimizations. MARKETING COMPLIANCE:
Review internal and external sales collateral, marketing materials, product labeling, packaging, and branding materials to ensure that these assets adhere to relevant jurisdictional regulations and company guidelines, through collaboration with compliance staff. OTHER:

: Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or closely related field required Three or more years of marketing experience in multi-state markets, preferably with exposure to product or brand management in CPG, cannabis, or other regulated, fast-paced industries Proven experience contributing to the development and execution of impactful marketing strategies and plans Experience defining core brand and product messages and contributing to support for sales teams (e.g. sales enablement) Experience in managing or tracking marketing budgets and contributing to ROI analysis Core Skills and Competencies Ability to synthesize market/consumer data, identify insights, and translate them into actionable recommendations GTM Planning (skill in translating brand strategy into comprehensive GTM plans) Product Marketing (ability to quickly learn technical product details and translate them into compelling consumer benefits & sales arguments) Cross-functional collaboration Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation and creative briefing skills Demonstrates proactivity, solution-orientation, and takes clear ownership of brand performance Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and maintain accountability in a dynamic, fast-moving environment with multiple stakeholders Strong interest in understanding consumer behavior, cannabis culture, pop culture and marketing trends Skills to be Successful:
