Teaching Assistant And/Or Grader

The Department Of Engineering And Society Is Hiring Undergraduate Students To Assist Professors In Their Courses During The Academic Year As A Teaching Assistant And/Or Grader. This Position Will Assist The Engineering And Society Professor In Their Courses With Record Keeping, Grading And Providing Support To The Student Working Groups And To Individual Students On Assignments During Class Time Or Outside Of Class Time. This Position Will Work In The Fall 2025 And Again In The Spring 2026 Semester For Approximately 10 Hours Per Week. Qualifications: Applicants Must Be A Uva Undergraduate Student Eligible For Student Employment. The Ideal Candidate Will Be Proficient In Using Excel, Enjoy Organizing And Keeping Track Of Printed And Electronic Documents, And Have Excellent Attention To Detail. Some Of The Duties Of The Position Require Coming To Grounds And Spending Time In The Professor's Office In Thornton Hall. Limited Supervision Is Provided; Flexibility Is Required. This Position Is Open To Fws Eligible Students As Well As Non-Fws Eligible Students.
