The Senior Project Manager will lead strategic initiatives for Service Oklahoma, ensuring successful delivery of technology modernization projects, operational process improvements, and customer service enhancements that align with agency goals. This role will oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure while fostering collaboration between state agencies, vendors, and internal teams. Responsibilities
Developing and managing project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations for complex, multi-phase initiatives. Serving as the primary point of contact for executive leadership, stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring clear communication of objectives, risks, and progress. Coordinating with OMES, Service Oklahoma leadership, FAST Inc, and external partners to ensure compliance with state IT security standards, CJIS requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Proactively identifying and mitigating project risks and issues to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery. Leading regular status meetings, producing executive-level project updates, and ensuring project documentation is current and accurate. Driving process improvements and best practices across the project management function to enhance efficiency and accountability. Mentoring junior project managers and contributing to a culture of excellence, transparency, and continuous improvement. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field; Masters degree preferred. 7+ years of progressive project management experience, with at least 3 years managing enterprise-level technology or business transformation initiatives. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across government or regulated environments. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or equivalent). Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated success in engaging executive leadership and diverse stakeholder groups. Experience in vendor management, contract negotiations, and interagency collaboration. Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects with competing deadlines. PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification preferred. Seniority level
