Guest Experience Shift Supervisor
role at
Zoo New England Responsible for managing the daily operations of the Guest Experience Department. This includes overseeing amusement ride areas, ensuring that operations are compliant with MA state safety laws. The Guest Experience Shift Supervisor may also be expected to assist in managing any onsite add-on programs or revenue generating areas (Bird Show, Budgie Feeding, Photo Ops, etc). All Guest Experience Shift Supervisor responsibilities are also applicable to any and all special events, including ZNEs evening holiday events. Guest Experience Shift Supervisors are required to abide by uniform and grooming standards, must maintain a pleasant and friendly attitude at all times and encourage great employee morale through effective coaching techniques for staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for properly opening, operating and closing the Zoos. Providing the highest quality of internal and external customer service Auditing the safe Coordinating staff assignments Training & coaching staff Supervising daily staff activities Assisting associates process zoo guests and memberships when needed Assigning cash drawers & banks, getting change to cashiers Re-stocking all forms and necessary paperwork Supervising all assigned revenue areas Preparing the nightly deposit Completing daily and weekly reports Accurate data entry relative to attendance and revenue Light maintenance & cleaning Working in any of the revenue areas due to high attendance days or short staff
Minimum Job Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Job Requirements
Two years of related college experience Experience with supervising employees Valid drivers license with a clean driving record Excellent math/counting skills Fluency in English Outstanding people skills Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel Must be able to lift and move packages weighing at least 50 lbs. Weekend and holiday work is required Must be bondable.
