Honeywell Engineering Test Services is seeking an experienced software engineer with a variety of software coding experience. The main focus of this job will be to write/maintain a vibration program used to pass/fail Production Engines. Additional responsibilities include writing software to support the acquisition of Engine data for both Development and Production testing, maintain a variety of software tools as hardware and software upgrades occur, and support engine testing on call to be responsive when systems fail in the field. We are seeking a qualified software engineer with a broad base programming skills who would be expected to assist with a variety of software applications, with good communication and mechanical skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting in a variety of roles. The outstanding candidate would have hands-on experience including: Developing and supporting new and existing software solutions Designing test cell control systems from concept through to drawings, construction, and commissioning YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering 15+ years of experience in LabVIEW software development. 5+ years' experience in a testing environment overseeing testing of hardware Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, C++ Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements WE VALUE Experience as a technical leader and designer Working knowledge of industry electrical standards (UL508A, NFPA79, IEC, NEC) A good grasp of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices. Experience operating standard test equipment: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical measurement tools Experience with PLC's, including Phoenix Contact, Allen-Bradley, or Emerson PLC's Experience with programming languages like Ladder Logic Experience-solving technical problems utilizing analytical thinking Knowledge of software configuration tools, such as Subversion or Git Good communication skills, both oral and written, with our customers Proven ability to work with minimal direction in a cross-functional team environment A work ethic that places safety and data quality as the highest priorities Willingness to respond quickly with quality solutions in support of our customers
