To develop, manage, and administer all aspects of a project and ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. This Project Manager position will be assigned to Metro's Physical Security unit and will be assigned to Metro's Emergency and Security Operations Center (ESOC). This role will be responsible for the development of project designs, drawings, schedules, scope of works, bill of materials, in-person surveys of electrical, communications and network equipment. The position will be responsible for the management of all subordinate projects. Types of projects will include CCTV infrastructure, video analytics, fencing, automated gates, access control systems, intrusion detection, drafting security standards, threat and vulnerability assessments and other physical security projects.

Manages various aspects of a project which may include finances, research, design, technical support, schedules, budget compliance, planning, and agency reporting Oversees the development of project specifications and requirement Manages a project's scheduling, prioritization of work, budget development, monitoring, planning, and reporting Reviews, analyzes, and interprets contract specifications and scope of work documents of a project to ensure conformance with requirements, regulations, codes, policies, procedures and plans Reviews, analyzes, and monitors actual project performance to ensure conformance with scope, schedule, and budget Attends progress meetings with members of the project team to report on status Identifies problems and recommends resolutions to budget, cost, and schedule-related activities Prepares reports for management Participates in project outreach Coordinates with various stakeholders Communicates and implements safety rules, policies, and procedures in support of the agency's safety vision and goals; and maintains accountability for the safety performance of all subordinate employees Contributes to ensuring that the EEO policies and programs of Metro are carried out May be required to perform other related job duties

Minimum Qualifications A combination of education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. Additional experience, as outlined below, may be substituted for required education on a year-for-year basis. A typical combination includes:

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Planning, Public Administration, Political Science or a related field Experience

Six years of relevant experience or three years of relevant supervisory-level experience in project management, project funding and financing, or project delivery Certifications/Licenses/Special Requirements

A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications (PQs) are used to identify relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) as determined by business necessity. These criteria are considered preferred qualifications and are not intended to serve as minimum requirements for the position. PQs will help support selection decisions throughout the recruitment. Professional Engineer (PE) license, Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or the ability to obtain one in the first year of employment Experience conducting risk analyses, identifying vulnerabilities, and performing security reviews across facilities, business proposals, and/or systems Experience designing and managing physical security projects such as: CCTV, video analytics, high-security fencing, automated gates, weapons detection, and radio communications Experience developing scopes of work based on the established design criteria and functional needs Experience designing surveillance, intrusion detection and/or access control systems Essential Knowledge Knowledge of
