Senior Database Administrator
Clearance: Active TS/SCI is required. Primary Responsibilities: Performs senior level database administration tasks. Reviews technical work of others. Conducts database design, structure identification, schema definition, and access privilege management. Optimizes database queries, documents, and upgrades database instances. Ensures user database integrity, maintains support tools, tables, dictionaries, and back-up procedures. Manages backend data synchronization applications and external data source retrieval. Examines customer problems, develops solutions, and implements corrective actions. Collaborates on technical solutions with senior management and clients. Provides remote and desk side support. Supports development and adherence to procedures and policies. Supports customer requirements in a 24/7/365 environment. Updates technical solutions, operations, and maintenance documentation. Required Qualifications: Candidate must have a BS with 8+ years of relevant experience or Masters with 4-6 years of relevant experience. Higher level knowledge of standards, concepts, and tools. Domain level technical knowledge to maintain databases, ensure recovery, and provide patches on MySQL and/or Oracle databases. Experience working independently on technical database administration activities. Experience implementing a broad range of assignments requiring originality and innovation. Experience developing methodologies and presenting solutions to problems. Experience interfacing with senior management and clients. Meets DoD 8570.11-IAT Level II certification requirements. Active TS/SCI is required.
