We work together as a team to help deliver events, large and small, for members of the community and guests from all over the world. Looking for individuals that value working in a team environment. Job Type: PT Flex Work Schedule: 4, 6 or 8 hour shifts Work Hours: Flexible schedule Pay: $20.32/hr. Safe & Sick Leave: Accrual up to maximum of 80 hours of paid annual sick leave. Location: Bainbridge Island Campus Primary Responsibilities: Delivers food and beverage service, ensures guests are well served, removes items when guests are finished and removes all catering items from spaces when events conclude Performs prep work prior to event Sets tables for meal service, cuts and places greenery arrangements on dining and catering tables Supports and assists dishwashers and cooks as needed Additional Responsibilities for Server II: Performs all aspects of alcohol service as event dictates, including setting up and breaking down alcohol service, inventory of alcohol, reconciling of all moneys from cash bar service, pouring wine and beer at tables, and operating stationary bar service during events. Required Qualifications: Minimum one year of experience in Food and Beverage industry or related setting Ability to work varied hours, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays Must be able to obtain a proper permit to serve food and beverages (Food Handlers Permit) Commitment to support IslandWood's work towards equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. Must be able to comply with and maintain a smoke-free and drug-free work environment. Must pass child safety screening procedure, post-offer. Must be able to obtain a food handlers card Must be at least 21 years of age Must be able to obtain the proper permit to serve alcohol (MAST) Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk for extended time (duration of shift) Frequent walking, possible extended distances on campus Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs./Occasionally lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
