Position Highlights

The College of Veterinary Medicine, with the University of Arizona, seeks an Instructional Specialist III. The Instructional Specialist III will perform work under minimal supervision with assigned expectations. The candidate must be able to use judgment to determine the best approach and achieve maximum outcomes in the classroom. The successful candidates will exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and good judgment working in an environment that is very fast paced. This position supports the teaching and technology use in the College of Veterinary Medicine's classrooms and labs. This position requires extensive organizational skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, and must have the ability to work in a team setting. This position is in-person 5 days a week, equating to 40 hours. This person must be reliable and flexible. . Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities: Provides teaching, administrative, mid-level audio visual and technology support to faculty, staff and students, in the classrooms, labs, and spaces across CVM as needed. Communicates and liaises with faculty course leads, Instructional Designers, ITT Team Lead, UITS support staff, and other Academic Programs staff to execute course sessions. Runs class sessions as assigned per course director and provides back-up support as assigned. Maintains course protocols, materials, exam questions, and test results. Enters course exams and troubleshoots the electronic exam process and protects exam security. Computerizes and imports data files to produce reports. Gathers documents and information and enters it into Elentra (the Learning Management System). Enters and updates information into relevant databases, ensuring secure backup and informing appropriate audiences. Manages editing process for accurate and time sensitive data entry. Responsible for being fluent in the use of the college's applications and software to support the teaching and learning. (e.g. Elentra, Allele, Zoom, Panopto, etc.) Responsible for ensuring the classroom furniture is arranged to align with course and exam needs. Responsible for ensuring cleanliness of the classrooms, labs and other spaces used by Academic Programs. This includes and is not limited to cleaning table surfaces, cleaning chairs, removing trash after class, resetting classrooms and labs to original configurations after a class or event. Responsible for maintaining the college's Flex Mobile charging units across the CVM campus. This includes and is not limited to: cleaning, reporting malfunctions, turning the units on and off at the beginning and end of day. Responsible for maintaining and the organization of classroom supplies and ordering as approved. Attends trainings to stay updated as needed with changing applications and technology. Assist UITS LMS team as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Understanding of LMS software concept (Learning Management Systems). Understanding of basic concepts of data structures and storage (flat files, databases, forms). Good command of English. Expert knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to establish rapport and gain trust of others and to establish cooperative working relationships with staff, faculty, administrators, and students. Ability to concentrate and focus on accuracy and in a fast-paced working environment. Proficient touch typing skills. Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required and, Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related field. Experience in Learning Management. Experience and understanding of Web Applications. FLSA
