Weston & Sampson is seeking a Project Manager with 15-20 years of experience for our new office in RI (location TBD). Knowledge of site civil land development is required.
What You’ll Do
Manage projects, including scoping, task management, invoicing, and closeout. Oversee detailed phases of engineering work for large to moderate projects.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
Prepare reports, calculations, drawings, construction plans, permits, and project documentation.
Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and the public.
Present technical information to authorities.
Lead project teams on civil and facilities design, including studies.
Define project scope, work procedures, schedules, budgets, staffing, and billing milestones.
Perform complex designs and calculations following standards and using software.
Support construction activities, including RFIs, reviews, site observations, and revisions.
Seek new work through planning, marketing, proposals, interviews, and negotiations.
Participate in professional organizations and committees.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s in environmental or civil engineering; Master’s a plus.
P.E. license in RI or ability to obtain within 12 months.
15-20 years of experience with private and municipal clients.
Strong communication and technical skills.
Proven success managing medium to large projects on time and budget.
Established RI client and regulatory relationships.
Driver’s license required.
