The Opportunity
A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable our clients to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure its network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network with the right equipment and software requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the DoD needs.
As a Network Engineer on our team, you’ll use your skills to help support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You’ll upgrade or develop enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures, or increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.

You Have
8+ years of experience designing and implementing LANs and VLANs 8+ years of experience designing, deploying, and providing advanced support of multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks 5+ years of experience creating new network architectures or modifying existing architectures to meet changing client needs 5+ years of experience with the application of network design methodologies and network architecture principles 5+ years of experience deploying, upgrading, configuring, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions Experience with classified networks Knowledge of access controls, network security, and communication and routing protocols Ability to analyze, recommend, and design new or improved operational capabilities across the enterprise network topology Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree in an IT field

Experience with network accreditation and security compliance processes Knowledge of virtualization and storage technologies, including VMware, EMC, and NetApp Knowledge of integrating traditional on-prem network setups or services with cloud-based solutions Ability to assist in all aspects of network management, from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing systems Ability to translate requirements into technical solutions that are standards-based and cost-efficient Ability to lead and facilitate technical discussions with internal and external organizations Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills TS/SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
