Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Microelectronics Security Engineer to join the Microelectronic Technology Operation (MTO). MTO specializes in microelectronics and hardware security, focusing on developing anti-tamper/protective technologies, failure analysis, reverse engineering, cyber operations, and cyber tool development. The team conducts vulnerability research, including hardware exploitation, side-channel attacks, fault-injection attacks, and reverse engineering. MTO is engaged in cutting-edge Science & Technology programs for the Department of Defense, aiming to deploy these capabilities in the field. The role requires flexibility to support a wide range of activities such as theoretical and statistical analyses, hardware security technology development, vulnerability assessments, data analysis, modeling, formal verifications, and supporting DoD customers in areas like: Side-Channel Analysis Cryptography Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs) Counterfeit detection Hardware Vulnerability research Anti-Tamper Other microelectronic security topics Depending on the candidate's skill set, contributions may span multiple divisions within the operation. Note: This is NOT a Cybersecurity / Information Systems Security / Network Security role. It is more aligned with Hardware Design Engineering. Required Qualifications US citizenship with the ability to obtain a clearance Bachelor's degree in a STEM field Ability to evaluate and solve open-ended problems Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills Desired Qualifications Advanced degree in a relevant STEM field Active security clearance Significant experience with cryptographic algorithms (theory and/or implementation) Post-Quantum Crypto experience Experience with Anti-Tamper and Protective Technologies Experience with Trusted and Assured Microelectronics Experience collecting and analyzing data in a laboratory environment Experience with embedded systems Security Clearance Applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
