Job Summary Experienced engineering position, under minimal supervision participates in designing, building, and maintaining software used in medical devices and engineering projects related to medical technology. Applies standard engineering practices to resolve problems of mid to high complexity. May assist and mentor less experienced engineers. Salary Range: $115,000 - $131,000 per year Position is eligible to participate in a bonus plan with a target of 8% of the base salary. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Responsibilities

Plan, design, execute, document, and analyze software engineering process automation and/or processes within established medical product design controls. Investigate and recommend new technologies, processes, and best practices. Display a solid understanding of theories/practices utilized by own discipline and other disciplines outside the primary area of expertise to identify coverage of risks, requirements, architectural components, functions, and performance. Work with senior leadership to improve software engineering process efficiency. Resolve and lead others to resolve software automation defects. Perform and review root cause and failure analysis activities, identifying causes and mechanisms of system issues during testing, and conduct design reviews as needed. Define, support, and administer Linux and Windows based systems supporting the development and test team. Provide operational support to corporate IT. Develop tools and test automation software used in verification and validation of products. Assist with project timing and track progress to schedule. Mentor and guide junior staff. Validate tools used in product development. Organize technical records and ensure proper indexing, archiving, and retrieval. Collaborate on resolving cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Use computer-based tools to trace tests to requirements, use cases, or design documents; update test documents as design changes. Understand regulations and apply guidance on design verification and validation; prepare documentation for compliance. Requirements

The following are the minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in software engineering, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. Experience in an Agile environment is a plus. Experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, GCP is a plus. Knowledge of software development lifecycle and verification processes; experience with medical device development and FDA regulations is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively in a team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with troubleshooting and debugging. Experience with virtual environments like VMWare and source control management such as Git/Bitbucket. Attention to detail and methodical approach. Excellent communication skills. Additional Information
