TechWish Description of Project The Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (MNIT), in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC), is seeking one full-time Software Developer. This role involves supporting software development activities for high-impact projects, working closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, QA teams, and lead developers to design, develop, test, and deploy robust software solutions aligned with DOC's business objectives. The role requires translating technical requirements into scalable applications, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring timely project delivery. Additionally, the resource will support MNIT DOC's Solution Development group by maintaining existing custom applications, documenting software changes, ensuring application security and compliance, and performing other duties as assigned. The work is primarily remote, with onsite meetings at DOC Offices located at 1450 Energy Park Drive, Suite 200, Saint Paul, MN 55108. Key Tasks: Develop, enhance, and maintain ASP.NET MVC web applications with responsive UI using Razor, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and jQuery. Manage and optimize data retrieval with SQL queries and Entity Framework. Use Git/GitHub for version control, managing source code, and collaboration. Develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Document code changes and technical dependencies. Implement security best practices, including SQL injection prevention and input validation. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and QA teams to meet requirements and standards. Provide knowledge transfer and support. Desired Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft development environments including Azure DevOps, .NET Framework, and MS Office. Experience with agile methodologies, GitHub, Teams, and SharePoint. Strong C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, JQuery, SQL, Entity Framework, Git/GitHub, SSRS, and Angular skills.
