Position Summary We are seeking a Surgical Technologist II. In this role, you'll be responsible for technical tasks to assist surgical and/or endoscopic procedures, including maintaining supplies, cleaning and decontaminating equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulations and survey readiness. This full-time position involves 10-hour day shifts (starting at 10:45 am), four shifts per week.

Key Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during operative/invasive procedures, ensuring necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment are prepared and available.

Maintain sterile techniques and monitor situations for potential breaches.

Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring confidentiality.

Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings.

Serve as a clinical mentor; assist with equipment and supply maintenance.

Maintain and enhance clinical competence to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

Post-high school vocational or specialized training; experience may substitute for education.

Minimum of 3 years experience in scrubbing major and/or endoscopic cases in a hospital setting.

Current CST (Surgical/Endoscopic Technologist Certification) from an accredited organization or participation in a UBC/Work Group with annual in-service.

BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Surgical/Endoscopic Technologist Certification preferred.
