a Speech Language Pathologist IP

to join our team!

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides speech-language pathology services, including but not limited to screening and evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, re-assessment and revision, patient/client reevaluation, discharge planning, and documentation in various settings. The Speech-Language Pathologist participates in program planning, protocol development, and assists the team in meeting established goals.

Primary Duties:

Provides evaluation services, reviews pertinent historical information, performs assessments, and documents results. Explains findings and treatment plans to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.

Demonstrates proficiency in implementing treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, patient presentation, and the healthcare environment. Consults with other healthcare professionals as needed, and recognizes changes in patient condition requiring plan modifications or further consultation.

Completes discharge planning and follow-up care, and documents care activities accurately and timely. Maintains a clear record of the patient's course of care, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

Manages time effectively to meet productivity expectations, maintains an accurate schedule, and provides flexible, empathetic patient access to care in a consumer-driven environment.

Engages in continuing education for professional growth, serves as a clinical instructor for students, and assists with orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications:

Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY).

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required by location.

American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence.

This position has a hiring range of $34.98 - $59.26.
