Production Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker to join our team. This role involves rebuilding valves for tanks, similar to those found on propane tanks, which will eventually be filled with chlorine. The position includes operating equipment to pressurize valves onto tanks, preparing and labeling tanks, and handling general labor tasks. This is a hands-on role with a focus on manual labor and occasional forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild valves for chlorine tanks, similar to propane tank valves.
• Operate equipment to pressurize valves onto tanks.
• Fill tanks with chlorine and ensure they are properly bagged and tagged.
• Clean, prep, and remove old labels from tanks.
• Perform general labor tasks, including staging, bagging, and tagging.
• Use a sit-down forklift to move products and load/unload trucks, once certified.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in a production environment, preferably GMP regulated.
• 1+ year of forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Strong ability to follow instructions and take orders.
• Safety-oriented mindset.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with chemical handling and shipping.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations.

Work Environment

The work environment is industrial and involves handling chemicals, which may include exposure to ammonia or chlorine odors. Safety is a priority, and protective wear such as face shields, glasses, and full rubber suits will be provided when handling chemicals. The core working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3 pm, with opportunities for overtime. Despite the dirty nature of the work, the environment is clean relative to industry standards and offers substantial opportunities for growth.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
